FAQ
What happens in therapy?
The first step is to gather information about what brought you to therapy and develop a treatment plan to address these issues. Generally, it is most effective to meet once per week, however, sometimes people may benefit from meeting less often, or on occasion, more frequently. Treatment is tailored to your individual needs.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
Every individual and situation is unique and the amount of time needed to address individual issues varies. Some people have a specific problem that can be addressed and resolved in a relatively short amount of time, while others may need longer-term treatment.
How much does therapy cost?
I have a standard fee for individual and couples therapy, however, in some cases, I offer a reduced fee. For example, if you are a college student, I have a student rate. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
What are the benefits of therapy?
Participating in therapy can result in many benefits to you, including improved interpersonal relationships and the resolution of specific concerns that led you to seek treatment. Achieving these benefits, however, requires effort on your part. For example, therapy requires your active involvement, honesty and willingness to change your thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept Aetna and Tricare. I am also able to be seen as an "out of network provider" if you have other insurance coverage. I will be happy to discuss insurance questions with you.
