I completed a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University in 1994. In 2001, I obtained my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. I am licensed as a psychologist in the state of California. I am also a member of the American Psychological Association and the San Diego Psychological Association.
My clinical experience and training includes the following:
- Therapist at Counseling Services, Eastern Michigan University
- Therapist at North County Interfaith Council, Counseling Annex
- Therapist at Counseling and Psychological Services, San Diego State University.
I completed my postdoctoral training as a registered psychological assistant in the private psychology practice of Dr. Jennifer Miller, where I provided individual and couples therapy, as well as conducted psychological evaluations, as a member of the County of San Diego Treatment and Evaluation Resource Management (TERM) team. I have several years of experience providing therapeutic support to individuals coping with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, relationship issues, including domestic violence, and life transitions. My philosophy of treatment is based on the concept of resilience, or the ability to overcome adversity and thrive. I offer a strengths-based approach that is supportive, collaborative, and goal-directed. I am committed to helping you meet your goals and experience significant and positive life change. I am also married and the mother of two sons.
